Yes last night a whopping 58 drivers turned up to support the Logan Xmas Ford VS Holden night.

Opening it up to 17.5 this year seemed to make things a lot more interesting.
Results are up on the results page for those that are interested.

Thanks to everyone who attended and have a safe and happy Xmas and New Year.

Well with a beautiful hot day upon us the 21.5 SEQ racers swarmed on Logan for there chance at domination.

With a smallish field of only 25 drivers split into 3 categories – Junior, Novice and Masters saw some great racing throughout the day.

Juniors – Well that was a plessure to watch with only 4 young guys taking to the track it was down to the wire every turn between Kyron and Noah. Both guys are showing great sportsmanship as they came together a couple of times in the 3rd final but waited for each other every time. In the end it was Kyron Palmer who took out the Junior 21.5 Champion Cup for 2011. Well Done for someone who has only just started driving in the last few months.

Novice – Well this field was full of talented drivers but in the end there could only be one winner. MR Donuts dominated all 3 finals to take the Cup for 2011. Great drive with another new comer Noel – who’s son got 2nd place in the Juniors – so good to see the father/Son team bring home some well earned trophies.

Masters – Well those who didn’t fit into the first to classes where all bunched into here. The field was made up on 21.5 regulars and some 17.5 guys who wanted to show us how it was done. The finals where pretty clean racing with Tony taking 2 of the finals and Nat only 1. Robert was in the mix in the 3rd and last final but couldn’t keep the lead but showed the speed which hadn’t been noticed for sometime in his last few results. So in the end it was Tony Lewis who is 2011 21.5 Masters Champion.

Overall it was a great day and everyone who raced had a smile on there face.

In between the heats of the 21.5 Cup we had the opportunity to see John Tayton drive his 1/8th gas car round the track.

Here is some video of that -

Yes we have been busy painting and removing some of the pipe from the track.

Blue in-fields and racing strips painted on the corners it is looking much more like a racing track.

A couple of changes as well which allows for the Gas cars to stretch their legs on the bag straight now.

Also with the removal of the pipe we are installing some little discs so that Bob doesn’t cut the track.
