Logan City Radio Control Car Club – Onroad

Meakin Park Model Raceway – SE QLD Interclub Champions 2008-12, 2014

Yes well we are going to try something new this year. Instead of just one round we are going to turn it into a 4 round event.

To keep the authenticity of HOLDEN VS FORD tradition using 21.5 motors we will open these rounds to those that have a Holden or Ford body pre 1990 ONLY. So to participate you MUST be driving with one of these bodies.

Rounds will be as followed –

Round 1 September 20th – Saturday night
Round 2 October 18th – Saturday Night
Round 3 November 15th Saturday Night
Round 4 December 13th Saturday Night (Xmas Breakup Meeting)

We will be racing 1 Qualifier and 3 finals.

Qualifier will be fastest lap to determine the grid based on a 6 minute qualifying time frame open to all drivers.

Finals will be different to our usual format of 6 minute races instead it will be 20 Laps races. First and last final will be based on the qualifying with the second final reverse grid.

So get your bodies ordered and painted and lets have a blast.

Got photo’s of anything on-road car related – share them today.

We hope you all had a great break for Christmas and New Year and that you got some RC toys that are ready for testing.

The schedule starting this week will be as follows –

Wednesday Nights – Mid-Week Mania – (every fortnight prior to a Saturday night racing)F1 and Tourers and whatever else you want to come down with and test. This night is used as a test and tune night with a very relaxed racing structure. Usually we have 2 qualifiers and 2 finals. Gates open from about 5/5:30 with racing from about 6:30/7. This is great to come and get a taste of the night before coming on a Saturday night.

Saturnday Nights – (every fortnight) This is where the action happens. Gates open from about 3PM with racing from 6PM sharp. We accomodate everyone so come down and bring what you want to race. 21.5 is usually the starting class for begginers but we also have some seasoned racers here as well. The action is super close as it comes down to racing lines and carrying your speed around the track. 13.5 (the new class) taking over from 17.5 is where most racers will end up racing in there careers. Here you will have the hardcore racer whom is fighting to be number 1. Great to watch and great to part take in. If this class isn’t fast enough then bolt in any 540 sized motor and hit the track in MOD. Any turn motor can run in this class but most of the guys run anthing from 5.5 to 3.5 turn. This is not to faint hearted. Speed speed and more speed as they fight for track space and the optimum racing line. Great fun to watch as the skill involved and car setup is critical.

That being said – the team at LCRCCC welcomes all ages and genders. Both kids and ladies are most welcome to join in on the action. We are a friendly club and will always help you out if needed with information.

Be apart of the points championship this year by joining up at the club.

Look on the right hand side under forms for the 2014 membership form.

That time again where we all put in a 21.5 turn and join our favorite car maker and battle it out.

Who will make the top 10 (5 Holden and 5 Ford) for the top 10 shoot out????

A great night not to be missed.

Yes Tuesday night saw the first test of the recently restore power to the facilities.

So that means we are back to Saturday nights as per usual. Gates open from about 2/3 in the afternoon. Nominations from 5;30ish and racing from 6PM sharp.

Specail ENTRY FEE for the night will be only $5.00 ($2.50 for Kids)

Come along and help us Celebrate the WONDER of The POWER.
